Chai Tea

1" piece of fresh ginger root, roughly chopped
6 cloves
1" cinnamon stick
4 cardamom pods crushed with seeds
2 cups water
1 cup 2% milk
3 T loose leaf Indian Tea
2 T raw sugar

Place all ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 2 - 3 minutes. Remove from heat and strain. Pour into cups and enjoy.
